Why We Built This Tool

Face-shape diagrams often leave people choosing between similar categories, while many automated tools return a label without explaining it. Face Shape Detector shows the proportions considered, acknowledges close matches, and connects the result to optional style guidance.

02

Our Approach

We treat oval, round, square, heart, diamond, oblong, and triangle as practical styling categories rather than fixed biological identities. A result should help someone explore options, not judge their appearance.

03

How the Technology Works

Google MediaPipe maps visible facial landmarks locally in your browser. Our rule-based comparison uses face length and visible forehead, cheekbone, and jaw widths to estimate the closest category. Photos and results are not uploaded.

Start with Your Own Proportions

Use a clear, front-facing photo for an explained result, or compare four manual measurements.
